The concert was held at St David’s church Avondale road Cwmbran.
Guest artist was Lee Cander supported by his accompanist Simon Carey, who were excellent.
The concert also demonstrated the beneficial impact that new musical director Lucianio Mogni has had in improving the standards of the choir, with the audience enthusiastically approving of the performance. Several examples are attached.
Luciano also outlined his vision for the choir. The concert was the last time a number of the songs would be sung.
Luciano is moving the choir into a new era with a more modern and upbeat repertoire, whilst retaining songs like Yma O Hyd and other Welsh heritage songs.
